We do have doctors on-call 24/7 for dental emergencies.
Appointments - When you schedule an appointment, you are scheduled with either a doctor, a dental assistant, or a hygenist, depending on the type of care that you need. While the doctors oversee all procedures, you will work most closely with them on procedures such as fillings, extractions, and cosmetic dentistry. Dental assistants will be there for all of these procedures, but will take a greater role in procedures such as TMJ care, night guards, snore guards, teeth whitening, and orthodontic services. Hygenists are scheduled for routine cleanings and maintenance procedures.
Although either doctor can see you, for the best continuity of care, we recommend scheduling the majority of your procedures with one dentist; however, if you have a favorite dental assistant or hygenist, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Everything starts with good oral hygiene. We recommend getting your teeth cleaned every six months, or as individually determined for your dental needs. If you have insurance, please check your policy to see what is covered and to understand any frequency limitations they may have.
Please plan ahead when scheduling your appointments. It typically takes anywhere from a day to a few weeks to get an appointment time; although school vacations and holidays can fill up months in advance. In consideration of our other patients, if you are more than ten minutes late, we may need to reschedule you. We understand that sometimes circumstances happen beyond your control, but if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible, ideally at least 48 hours, to enable us to fill that time with someone who may be waiting for a spot to open. If you can't get the appointment day or time that you desire, please ask us to add you to our Quick Fill list. If someone cancels, we'll give you a call to see if you'd like to take that opening.
Paperwork - Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment to allow time to complete your new patient paperwork. Make sure you bring a current list of medications and your health history and keep us updated as changes occur. It is important to provide a complete record, even if you don't think it applies to your dental care. You may be surprised at just how much interrelates! If you have had x-rays taken at another dental facility within the last year, you may also want to request your records from your former provider. Get a jump start by printing the forms here:
